Very cool Mike. I don't know what blows my mind more... the small scale of the universe or the large scale. And as humans, we're just about right in the middle of it all. It's bizarre how life can be so absolutely, stunningly beautiful... such as contemplating these esoteric topics... and at the same time cruel and horrific. Thanks for sharing. Jon

Jay: I think if you get started early it would be hard not to find a good spot out there. Head out toward the Topaz Internment site and look for dirt roads off the main road. We went up to Middle Drum Mountain last year with the folks from the Gama Ray Center and there were lots of places to pull off or over and have great views. Let us know what you find. Name that scope

To those inSLAS, there's three telescopes that make up the club's SPOC site. They each have a nickname. One is the Bogdan, another is the Grim, what is the affectionate name for the third (16" reflector) scope? (For the life of me, I can't remember and have been racking my brain the whole day, trying to come up with it).
