Binoculars

I know the Bear binoculars were a big hit last year so I thought I would let everyone know about the new binoculars in the Sportsmans Guide. I received my catalog yesterday and they have 15X70mm Galileo binoculars for $69.97. The field of view is the same as the Bears. They are a closeout so you would need to act fast if you want some. Hey Cyn, I'm out here. I wonder how many people have been checking out on the new Scope at SPOC? The classes I have attended have been full, and a lot of fun. It is nearly a full time activity for Bruce and Patrick it seems. As we get a larger crew of people checked out, it will be fun to run out to the scope to try out new targets. Any one want to try a ccd image of the ISS? Hook up a video camera? Bob St. Marie

Rich, Tell your friend that this Zeta talk woman is the same one who spent huge amounts of time telling gullible people that the mothership was right behind Hale-Bopp. She is an extreme case, and has posted her garbage to Sci.astro.amateur for years. She has been refuted by some the best minds in amateur astronomy, and has a frustrating habit of taking a well thought out response and twisting little excerpts, posting them on her web page, and using it to prove that persons support for her theory. My response, by the way, is simply additional proof to her of the government's ability to hide the presence of this planet from the citizens of the country. Amateur astronomers were supposed to be the ones to find the planet and expose the government's lies. Alas, we have all been bought off. Think of this as your chance of a lifetime. If you search her co-ordinates, and find nothing, then you too, can be part of a "vast government conspiracy"! (Although I guess, as someone who firmly believes that we walked on the moon, I am already part of her ignorant masses, duped by a different "vast government conspiracy"....)
