The email was talking about 2 star parties. One is the ALCON star party tomorrow night. The other one in the public star party on 8/17. They are now both being held on Antelope Island. Just in case any of you are planning on coming to the Powder Mountain Star Party on 8/17, it has been relocated to Antelope Island. Powder Mountain is concerned about the fire danger this year. Maybe Patrick or Siegfried could answer this: When we set-up in the parking lot, is it better to set up beside the car, or behind it in the traffic area? ALCON/SPOC2 Star Party

Is anyone else on this list planning to set-up a scope at SPOC tomorrow night? It is my understanding that due to landscaping, all portable telescopes are to be set-up in the paved parking lot. I plan to be there with at least two scopes and parallelogram-mounted binocs. If the weather is iffy, I'll drive out anyway, just in case we get a break. Joe, You do far more than most reporters to advertise and promote astronomy. I figure the correction notice just gets us a little more publicity. 90% of the people who read it will never remember the club misname, but everyone who read it knows that something neat is happening at the U.
