Subject: Re: [USR-TC] Which Setting????? Hi Kirti, I had a similar problem when setting up my DSP (only I got a fast bus signal instead of a message.) It turned out it was one of the T1 settings on the DSP. Try entering the following commands on the DSP and see if it helps. If not, contact your telco and see if you can get the exact line settings, you might be using a different line configuration than I have (in fact, it's fairly likely that you are.) chdev span1 set dtrnktyp emtype2 set diotrst wink set daackwnk disable set lcoding bz8s set ltype esf chdev tslot set daackwnk disable Then save the config (cmd svspcfg) and reboot the card (reboot) If it doesn't work, do the chdev span1 command and then enter the set commands without the last argument (ie, "set dtrnktyp") to see the available options, and call your telco to see if they can tell you which one to use. As far as I know, for incoming calls, those are the 6 most important settings that will cause line problems. You also may want to double check that your HiperDSP isn't set in loopback mode, but to be honest, I don't know how to do that (cmd loconfig maybe) On Mon, 2003-09-22 at 17:35, Kirti S. Bajwa wrote:
Hello List:
I thought I had set the HiPer ARC & HiPer DSP cards and I was ready to Boggie!!!
However, when I try to dial-in 423-727-6248, I get a phone company recording saying that the line is temporary down. Lights on the HiPer DSP cards are lit as follows:
RN/FL - GREEN
CAR - GREEN
ALM -
LPBK/D-ALM - GREEN
When I connect the line to my current box, it receives calls with no problem.
I know the problem is one or more setting, but which one. Does anybody had this happened to them so the problem is narrowed down to a specific setting? I am leaving 423-727-6248 connected to the 3Com box and any one can call this number and hear the telephone company's recording. It will not cost any money because the call will not be completed.
Thanks.

chdev span1 : command does not work chdev span : it does work and span is changed to "span1>" set : command returns error message as invalid commond or command not visible at this level You are better off looking at your other box and setting the new one up exactly as the old one. Your settings may not be anywhere close to the rest on this list.
