Dial-Out - no "CONNECT xxx" messages?!?
I am trying to use an old TC chassis for dial-out. The problem I'm having is that, while the modems connect to the server, they don't return a "CONNECT xxx" messages after call setup. They just go strait to transferring data. Unfortunately I need to know when the connection is made since some servers don't send any data first, and if I send data before the modem is finished negotiating the connection it will hang up! I have spent several hours trying to find a modem setting to fix this without any luck. Any help or hints would be appreciated! The set up is: telnet to a Netserver PRI to a Quad-modem V.90 to CT1 to server. Modem settings are: ATI4 USRobotics Digital Quad Settings... Copyright, 1988-2000, 3Com Corp. All rights reserved. The only suggestion I can offer is to try and issue an AT$ on the modem which I believe lists all the modem functions.
