Re: [USR-TC] netserver 16 v.34 please help
What's the other hardware (cards) invovled besides the netserver? Are you using quad modems, dsp's, etc? Like I said previously I've never used a netserver before...just hiper arc's so I'm taking a random stab at this.... Open Total Control Manager and follow these steps: 1. Click on the entire T-1 card 2. Click on configure 3. Click on program settings 4. Click on DSO<->Modem Configuration 5. Select a DS0 in the left column that you want to map Legend a. Green Already connected (mapped) to a modem b. Aqua Available c. White Unavailable d. Yellow Selected 6. If the modem that you are trying to map the ds0 to is White (unavailable), the modem may not be configured to have the line interface source of t-1tdm. Insure that the modems have a line interface source of t-1tdm: a. Select individual modem b. Click on configure c. Click on program settings d. Click on Line interface options e. Verify that the line interface source is set to t-1tdm. Thanks Todd,
I don't think the problem is from AAA side, because the internal user which I defined (test, test) couldn't get in also.
We had not had any successful connection yet.
Setting up modem interfaces : We have not done this by any command line. Should we do this? if yes how? (Windows based netserver manager shows modems are up).
Mapping modems to ds0 : The issue is new to me. Can you explain what do you mean ?
IP pool has been set correctly. We have used factory default interactive setup program by responding to all questions in complete mode.
Thanks for more advice. Regards, Shahrooz

Also...saw this while I was logged in although there was someone else currently logged in at the same time:
netserver>At 07:53:20, Facility "User Manager", Level "CRITICAL":: ACCT: Using b oth accounting ip addresses as primary with one or more set to 0 At 07:53:55, Facility "User Manager", Level "CRITICAL":: AUTH: No acknowledgemen t from RADIUS accounting servers, reached max number of timeouts
Should problaby take care of your AAA setup. Also....seemed to look okay when do a show config but you do have your IP pools setup correctly don't you?
If you can't figure it out give me a phone number to dial into and I should be able to tell you what the exact problem is.

Never used a netserver before but one thing that doesn't look quite right is if you are telneted in and do a "list interfaces" the operator status for all your modems is down. Kind of surprised you even get connected. _auth test test works so your user is auth'ing.
PAP is setup so that's not the issue.
Do you have your modems mapped to ds0's?
