I am having a huge problem with error 718 messages (PPP Timemouts according to Microsofts RAS error). How can I narrow this down? I think its a specific card (it only happens when we start to fill up > 60%. What on the ARC can cause a PPP timout? The chassis has 14 DSPs and 2 ARCs. I looked at just about every performace item in the Perf monitor but it all looks OK from what I can see. Any ideas? There are no alarms, just a lot of failed connections. -- Paul Farber Farber Technology farber@admin.f-tech.net Ph 570-628-5303 Fax 570-628-5545
a customer called in and was having dial-up problems but it only happens in the late afternoon... .. the modem gets stuck on a tone while dialing.. though ... he does get connected with another ISP without a problem at the same time of day. when he connects to us at 4 am he connects just fine.. any ideas on what could cause something like that. oh.. he lives near me on the mountain. which by the way my connection sucks up there during the evening hours as well.. could something be interferring with the lines during that time of day .. but only affect our customer base.. is something running fine on the modem chasis but with a little bit of instability it doesn't allow the connections to keep?/ any help would be great.. thank you .. In my 3com security and database manager I open the users setup form and get this error message: DDE Server Window: MSACCESS.EXE - Invalid DLL Entry point The Dynamic link library is not written correctly. The stack point has been left in an inconsistant state. The entry point should be declared as Winapi or stdcall. Select yes to fail the dll load.Select no to continue execution. Selecting no may cause the application to operate incorrectly. whether i choose yes or no I can't even see the tabs that i usually have in this form. Does anybody have a solution for this. Thanks in advanced. Ryan
