I have Hiper Arc Code 5.3.3 on a Hiper Arc. I am trying to access it via HARM 2.2.6 and it says "Your Router is running 5.3.3. HARM 5.2 works with ARC 5.2* How Can I manage this Hiper Arc with HARM? Thanks, Kris McElroy

How Can I manage this Hiper Arc with HARM? I don't know if there is an update or not. The ARC is pretty easy to config with the CLI though. Sorry, but I haven't heard of any new releases but again, I have never even seen HARM. -- Lewis Bergman Texas Communications 4309 Maple ST. Abilene, TX 79602 325-695-6962 ext 115
Years ago, I took a class at US Robotics on configuring the TC1000. The instructor, who was a contractor, told us to never trust HARM. It didn't always do what it was supposed to do. He recommended using the CLI. AFAIK, HARM is no longer being supported or updated. On 17 Mar 2004 at 20:09, Lewis Bergman wrote:

Just my 2 cents....you're better off no matter what gear you're learning how to use to learn the CLI even if it comes with a GUI. There's this nifty feature in the command line and most CLI's that all you have to do to access it is type ? Combined with that and the information provided online you should be able to figure out how to configure just about anything on the CLI. Also, the CLI will give you better debug/troubleshooting info. It will pay off later to learn how to use it today. I agree with you completely, but you missed the tab completion which also helps. This works on cisco IOS as well. type the first part of the word and hit tab to let the USR software complete the word. Tab twice normally lists all possible completions. If all certifications allowed this real world assistance I think I could ace about any certification they threw my way. I double checked and the USR code does question marks in the middle of the word instead of double tabs. (bash and newer tcsh does double tabs as well. I'm not familiar with other shells enough to speak for them.) HiPer-2>> li<tab> HiPer-2>> liST c<tab> # no response so there is more than one option HiPer-2>> liST c<?> This field is a KEYWORD. The possible values are: CHASSIS CHAT_SCRIPTS CLEARTCP CONNECTIONS CRITICAL CROSS_CONNECT HiPer-2>> liST co<tab> HiPer-2>> liST coNNECTIONS <?> End of Command HiPer-2>> liST coNNECTIONS <enter> Gerald Coon
