Hello I am hoping someone on this list might be able to help me out. I have been unable to procure the latest matching firmwares for my 3com/USR TC1000 to make the NMC, ARC and PRI modem cards all work together properly. The older loads have handshaking problems with V.92 modems alot and is causing much frustration. Because of this I am hoping someone might be interested in a swap around, I have the following: 4 x USR TC1000 Chasis (2 in use) 4 x USR TC1000 PSUs (2 in use) 8 x Single PRI (24 modem) Cards (8 in use) 1 x Dual PRI (48 modem cards) 3 x ARC Cards (all different revisions) (1 in use) 3 x NMC Cards (all different revisions) (1 in use) What I am trying to accomplish: 1 x USR TC1000 Chassis with Dual PSUs and 192 modems with V.92 loads with latest NMC,ARC loads sending watchdog packets to the radius server. If you can sell me a preconfigured unit, would like to work a trade out or have all the cards firmwares please let me know at clint(a)1starnet.com

quad analog/digital modems

Hi all I have Some quad modems they don't answer the calls. I replace their NIC with another tested NICs also upgrade the modem software the latest version (6.1.86), still I have the same problem, how may I fix this problem? Thank you very much Shahrooz

Here is the full list broken down by parts: 8 MP-16i's 3 older 45A chassis with the separate fan trays 3 fan trays for same 6 45A power supplies (two per chassis) 9 newer chassis with the integrated fan trays (4 with blue 3com logo, 5 with red USR logo) 2 extra red USR logo fan trays with a few bad fans each 10 70A AC power supplies 2 70A 48VDC power supplies 6 Dual PRI cards 4 NetServer PRI cards 17 Quad Digital modems 15 Quad Analog/Digital modems 8 Quad Analog modem NACs (4 POTS/quad RS232) 8 quad serial breakout cables, for quad analog NACs or for MP-16i's 10 486SX NMC cards At least 2, maybe more, have x2 feature enable keys for quads One has a damaged BNC port but the 10baseT still works 2 P133 HiPer NMC cards 8 HiPer ARC cards 38 HiPer DSP cards (3 or 4 may be bad) A few RJ45-to-DB25 console cables -- don't have an exact count yet 7 of these boxes are set up in a usable 5 DSP + ARC + NMC setup. v.90 support

Greetings List! I have so many questions, eh? Well, here's my next one. Now that I've ressurected my HiPer NMC's, have coupled them with HiPer-II ARC's, and have HiPer DSP modem cards, I should have a v.90 capable platform. I'm using the following software Versions: HiPer DSP: 3.5.12 (lists v.90/X2 settings in the configuration tables) HiPer ARC-II: 5.3.2 (I think I saw somewhere that V.90/X2 is DISABLED) HiPer NMC: 8.7.2 (Software Compatibility Version 8.2.0, whatever that means) V.90 DISABLED So, by nature of the function being DISABLED on my ARC and NMC, I assume that v.90 will not work? Or will it work since the cards support it? I really, really need v.90 support for deploying this unit (in two days), so I guess I'm going to have to use my older NMC card. Said older NMC card (grey handles, 486sx cpu) lists v.90 as supported. However, will using the HiPer ARC-II which doesn't support v.90 cause a problem? I'm pretty sure it doesn't support v.90, but I just can't remember where to look. I'd appreciate anyones' advice or thoughts on the subject. Thanks! - Nick

Net Server Cards

I have several old netservers and working very well. Recently, I have seen the Netserver cards freeze up and need to ber rebooted to allow for callers to authenticate. I cannot even telnet to the card. I have to either pull the card or remotely reboot it via the TC Software. Anyone know why this may be. It is sporatically happening on 4 or so servers. Ross
