Chassis Awareness is on by default. To turn it on, do a "enable nmc chassis_awareness" command on the ARC. I've had this problem before with cards not keeping their settings. My guess is that the NMC has saved the DSP (or ARC) config and when you change something, the NMC is changing it back. In TCM, click on the NMC card to select it, go to Actions/Commands, and execute these commands on the NMC: Restore Chassis From Default Restore NMC From Default Save Chassis to NVRAM software reset Not sure if all of those are necessary or not, but it always works for me. Doing those commands will NOT lose the IP address or any of the config done on the NMC from the console port. How to kill duplicate connections/logins

Does anybody know how to avoid duplicate connections or logins? We are using Radius service from NT Option Pack and Total Control 1000. Any suggestions?

USR TC Dialback (Callback)

Dear List, Does anybody here have working dialback (callback) on USR TC 1000 with NetServer PRI card and Radius authorization? If yes, how we can to set up this feature? We made all the necessary as the manual says, but we have the folloving string: Feb 6 22:38:32 tc dialnet: port S50 denis dialback requested to Radius is unable to send the dialback location to TC. David, Did you buy 'em from me? Just curious. I've seen quite a few bad DSP's, like maybe 20 out of 400 or 500. Seems to be the most-common thing to fail. That's one of the reasons I warranty any equip I sell for 6-months. With these things being so cheap any more I doubt they're worth fixing, but just my opinion. I'd sooner buy a rack full of spares for a $1000 than mess around with bad ones. My experience has been that your customers have to have the Modem-On-Hold software installed. That software has to be whatever software is provided by the mfr of their modem. Normally it's a download from the mfr's website, or it comes on the driver installation disk with the modem. Of course you have to have V.92 enabled on your DSP's - even if you have the V92 firmware on your DSP's, V.92 is disabled by default. - Joel -----Original Message----- From: Hall, Eric M. Hello, Anyone else having trouble with modem cards in 'used' V.92 USR-TC's? We have lost 3 modem cards in the unit we bought May03 from a used vendor. These have been working fine as V.92 and seem to have two designs, one likely newer than the other. Also, anyone know of a place to have these evaluated for repair and advice if that is cost effective or not. David Covell

Internet on Hold question

I have a question for the group. Do I need to do anything on my side to get internet on hold to work ? My customers have v 92 modems and I have v.92 code on my dsp however when they connect to the internet and they get a call nothing happens. The phones never ring and the person calling tells them it just rings. Any ideas ?
