NAS Port questions

Hi guys, I wonder if any of you know the formula to calculate the NAS port. The formula in the UTstar Knowledgebase doesn't seem to be accurate for us. That formula is NAS port = [256 * slot number] + channel number. This formula doesn't work for any of our boxes. We have both MultiSpan and Non-Multispan TCs. This formula doesn't allow for Multispans but it doesn't work on our "low density" boxes either. We are running ARC 5.3.110 on our Multispan boxes, and 5.2.102 on our Non-Multispan boxes. Digital/Analog Quad Card w/Daughter no analog?

Hello all, I have seen several post about setting a Digital/Analog Quad Card up to allow POTS lines but none have addressed my issue. My Issue is that in the TCM I have an option to set the line interface source to: (1) = nic (2) = t1Tdm (3) = priTdm The problem is that the NIC setting will not set! I can go back and fourth between t1 Tdm and pri Tdm. What am I missing?

There are instances where you have to work up in increments. try to use a version between 2.1.85 and what you are trying to put in now. Despite Session-Timer = 86400 longer call-durations...

Hi list, did anyone ever got aware of connections, where a per RADIUS-configured: Session-Timeout = 86400 seconds has been exceeded for something in the range of 150-160 seconds? Call-duration in SNMP and syslog-events match in this ( rare) cases. Ideas welcome. Also....when I look at the modem stats for some of these interfaces...at least the successful and failed connects...there doesn't look like there's any problems. For example....I was seeing these log messages for a particular interface at a particular site all day long. The same user was connected on that interface all day as well. As soon as I kicked him offline the logs for that interface stopped and I haven't seen any really come in again for that particular interface. I could be wrong but that's why I was leaning towards that. What makes you think the modems are bad? Are you familiar with these particular syslog messages Lewis? It doesn't seem obvious to me that these are problematic modems....how sure are you about these logs? Is there another facility such as GWC Modem Driver that could possibly verify this? I assume your users don't have assigned phone numbers and that your TC isn't fronted by a switch (or telco) that is routing DID's to a specific channel on a span. If those are correct you have modems on those cards going bad. Make sure the settings for those are the smae as the rest. Group I'm trying to get V.92 code on my modem rack. I'm getting an error when upgrading the DSP code. Here is my hardware DSP code 2.1.85 Hiper ARC code 5.3.2 Hiper NMC code 8.6.3 I get an error upgrading the dsp code to 3.5.2 Its some TFTP error. Any help would be great.
