I;ve had this happen a few times. Just reboot the NMC card by sliding it out if the chassis or via the console interface and it will be well again (until next time). Hi Scot, We see this a lot on Hiper DSP cards when they fail. Try the Z-Modem procedure through the console port to reload code to it and see if that works. Most of the cards we see like this have to be sent back to 3Com for repair. Not ever having a DSL go bad on me, what is the best course of action -- attempt to have Commworks repair it, replace it with a used card, ??? Card is about 2.5 years old. We've been trying to... but some of the wording is different, and it's different than the TelCo's wording again, so they're not a lot of help on knowing how our equipment should be set. TCM detecting V.92

I have to assume that because Total Scrutinizer is able to detect V.92 statistics that TCM can as well. I'm using TCM 8.2.6 After all TCS 4.5 was the code supplying the SNMP oids for such connections. I never pulled a V.92 stat, but did manage to get a few reports of V.44 Easiest way to check is: click on Modems ->Performance->Select all modems->Function Group "Call Statistics"-> Select fields of "modem modulation, initial modulation, compression" Then click ok. You should see V90Digital(34) for V90 connects. about backup of flash image and dsp's code

Hi All, Here we have frequent electricity problem of overvoltage , and UPS is also problematic. Thats why there may be chances of frequent sudden power off. Will it affect anyway to TC1000, I want to take backup of Code of Hiper ARC and Hiper DSP and NMC,, How?? , so that incase of anything failure I can restore it .. how?? And what else should I take as backup and how? Please provide me some guidance. Thanks Pankaj

For the arc there is a configuration option - It is seen when you reboot the arc and you will see for a few seconds a menu that will allow you to specify the a tftp server, code name and other good details. Also you can do this with configuration on the arc - which gives you option to load the code from a tftp server everytime when a reboot occurs or just once (you have options). The command is "set bootrom ip interface eth:1 address .........." This will give you options to configure on how and when to load the code when you reboot the arc. Also the ARC has what is called as a bulk file - you can save the bulkfile and tftp the file to a safe location and then use the bulkfile to reconfigure the arc. Problem on Multilink

Hi there, I have a 3Com chassis running 3 Hiper ARCs (Ver 5.3.105) and populated with Hiper DSPs . I have shared the load of Hiper DSPs across each of the 3 Hiper ARCs. I have a problem when a user tries to dial-in on ppp multilink. If the user dials in and hits two separate E1 channels a multilink connection is only established if: + The two channels hit are on the same E1 (hence on the same Hiper DSP) + The two channels hit are on different E1s (hence on the different Hiper DSPs) but both owned by the same Hiper ARC Is it possible so have multilink automatically setup on Hiper DSPs which are owned by different Hiper ARC's on the chassis?
