When you reboot an individual card, the system loads the configuration from
the local flash on the card. By contrast, each card will pull their
configuration for the flash on the NMC when the system is powered down and
brought back up.
All you should have to do is reboot the chassis, then save all of your
modems to their local flash when they come back up. Then you can reboot
individual cards or the whole chassis without killing a thing.
(choose card, "Configure", "Action Commands", Choose software, the "Save
both T1/E1 and modems TO NVRAM")

I have a problem where if I reboot the chassie from the telnet window of do
a software reset on the hiper arc it busy out my modems with a fast busy but
if I power down the unit and power it backup everything is ok. Has anyone
seen this before??? Is this some setting I am missing some where? Please
help
