Dear Music Education Colleagues,
The day is almost here! Our Annual Utah Music Education on the Hill event is this Wednesday, February 15th at 4:30 in the State Capitol Rotunda. There will be music performances from the Bingham HS Marching Band, Mountain View Middle School Choir, Lone Peak HS Jazz Band and a Utah State University String Quartet. Speakers will include Senator James Dabakis, Tami Pyfer- Governor Herbert's Education Advisor, Dean Tymas Jones of the University of Utah, Jeff Poulin of the Americans for the Arts and Dean Craig Jessop of Utah State University. Please share the attached flyer with your students, parents, administration, school board, legislators and social media. Please help share with everyone that you know, that music education is important to students, to our communities.
