Dear Members and Friends of the T'ang Studies Society, I am writing to update you on an important event in the Society's calendar this year. As many of you know, through the generous support of the Tang Research Foundation and the Elling Eide Center, the Society will host a field conference at the Elling Eide Center at the end of next month. The conference theme is: "Questioning Boundaries: Contemporary Approaches to Tang China" The conference will take place on April 25-26, 2025 at the Elling Eide Center Research Library in Sarasota, Florida. I have attached the conference program to this message to give you a sense of the breadth of topics that will be addressed during the conference. We realize that Sarasota is a long way for people to travel at the end of a semester, but if you are interested and can attend, you would be most welcome. To cover the cost of lunches, refreshments, and the conference banquet, we ask that attendees pay a registration fee of $100 per person. I have attached a registration form. If you would like to attend, please return the form BY APRIL 2, so we can provide an accurate head count to caterers and the restaurant. We will follow up with payment information when we receive your form. With warm regards, Tony Anthony DeBlasi President T'ang Studies Society
