Man electrocuted when plugging in dryer
   
   An 18-year-old Bountiful man was electrocuted at about 8:15 p.m. Monday as he was plugging in a clothes dryer, police said. The man was moving into an apartment building on Center Street near 500 East when the accident occurred. His roommate found him and summoned help. Paramedics initiated CPR, but the man was pronounced dead at a hospital. Preliminary investigation showed the outlet may have been improperly wired, police said. The building inspector has closed the building in order to conduct a more thorough examination.
   
   Murder trial delayed
   to accommodate witness
   
   A new trial date has been set for a Salt Lake City woman charged in the January death of her 2 1/2 -year-old daughter. On Tuesday in Moab, 7th District Judge Lyle Anderson pushed back the trial of Wendy Bullock, 28, from late September to Nov. 8 to resolve a scheduling conflict with a prosecution witness. Bullock is charged with first-degree felony murder in the Jan. 2 death of her daughter, Sarah Pollyanne. After being alerted by a Colorado motorist, Grand County sheriff's deputies found Sarah's body in the back seat of Bullock's car just off Interstate 70 about five miles east of the Moab exit.
   
   Two die in when van overturns on I-70
   
   Two people were killed Monday when a van overturned on Interstate 70 in Grand County, the Utah Highway Patrol said. Frank Enrique, 46, of the Las Vegas area, and an elderly woman, whose name has not been released, died in the crash about 9:30 a.m. Monday, one mile east of Thompson Springs, authorities said. The two apparently were with two families traveling from Las Vegas to Kansas City for a boxing tournament. Preliminary investigation shows the right rear tire failed, causing the van to lose control and overturn, the UHP said. Two other people were critically injured.
   
   Girl on bicycle clipped in the head by dump truck
   
   A Highland teenager suffered head injuries early Tuesday after being struck by a dump truck. The girl, 13, was airlifted to Primary Children's Medical Center. The accident took place on 4800 West just south of Cedar Hills Drive around 9 a.m., said Highland police Chief Kip Botkin. The girl, who was carrying a kitten, was riding in front of another 13-year-old on a bicycle. The dump truck driver swerved to miss the girl but struck her with the right headlight, Botkin said. Highland police are still investigating.
   
   4-year-old girl dies in parking lot accident
   
   A 4-year-old Riverdale girl died in a car accident in the parking lot of a Riverdale home improvement store Sunday afternoon. The girl's father was loading items into his van when the girl walked out into the roadway and was struck by a truck. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died of her injuries, police say.
   
   15-year-old gets 5 years for near-fatal attack
   
   A teenager who clubbed a man with a dumbbell has been sentenced to prison for up to five years. Javier Cisneros, 15, of Weber County, pleaded guilty in adult court to second-degree felony attempted murder with injury for the near-fatal attack on Santiago Dejesus Vasquez. Second District Judge Michael Lyon found Cisneros "unremorseful" for the May attack. The case of a 14-year-old co-defendant who reportedly instigated the beating remains in juvenile court.
   
   Man charged
   in sexual abuse
   
    A Taylorsville man was charged in 3rd District Court on Tuesday with 14 counts of the sexual abuse of a child, a second-degree felony, for touching the genitals of seven boys, according to court documents.
    Izailton M. Desousa, 42, made contact with the boys, who range in age from 6 to 10 years old, several times between May 2003 and August 2004, the charges state.
    The abuse took place at an apartment complex at 6840 S. 2700 West, according to the documents.

   Student accused of enticing minor
   
    A 27-year-old Sandy man was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with two counts of enticing a minor over the Internet.
    Joseph S. Tullis faces the second-degree charges for using an Internet chat room to arrange a sexual meeting with a 13-year-old girl, according to court documents.
    Tullis was arrested by officers of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in the early hours of July 1 after chatting with an undercover officer posing as the girl, state the charges.
    Tullis is currently a senior at the University of Utah and an employee of Cottonwood Hospital, according to the documents.
