A former Utah teacher, award-winning playwright and composer, Michael Champlain Perry, has been charged with receiving, possessing and distributing child pornography. Federal agents found a computer and computer disks containing images of child pornography in Perry's West Jordan home, according to a three-count indictment filed Wednesday by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Authorities said Perry, 51, also admitted to electronically uploading more than 100 images of child pornography in February 2003 and downloading similar images in June of the same year. Perry is a Brigham Young University graduate and a former drama teacher at Pleasant Grove and Spanish Fork high schools and Sherwood Hills Jr. High.
