Police identify victim of crashed pickup
   
   The man who was found dead Monday inside a pickup truck that crashed near 7200 West and Interstate 80 has been identified as 44-year-old Danny Hughes. Salt Lake City police said Hughes' truck flew between 80 and 100 feet before hitting the ground just south of I-80 and rolling. Hughes died on impact.
   
   Driver who crashed into business thought to be on drugs
   
   A man police believe was under the influence of drugs or alcohol crashed his truck Tuesday morning into the window of a business on the corner of 200 South and 400 West in Salt Lake City. The man, 30, was driving erratically at a high rate of speed about 10 a.m. when his vehicle hit a curb, flew through the air and crashed into the window, said police spokesman Dwayne Baird. The business was unoccupied at the time.
   
   Man who tried to entice girl via e-mail pleads guilty
   
   A Washington man who lost a legal battle over whether his e-mails were illegally intercepted pleaded guilty Tuesday to arranging a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old Salt Lake City girl. Bryan Vance Jones, 44, of Tacoma, faces a mandatory prison sentence of five years and could get a maximum term of 30 years. Jones, who was arrested last year when someone allegedly found sexually explicit conversations between him and the girl, tried unsuccessfully to throw out the messages as illegally obtained evidence under the Federal Wiretap Act. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 23.
   
   Students caught bringing toy guns to school for 'mischief'
   
   A pair of West High School students were caught Monday bringing toy guns to school. The students each brought a gun that shoots plastic pellets and were looking to cause some "mischief," said Salt Lake City District spokesman Jason Olsen.
   
   Beating victim found dead in car trunk is identified
   
   The man who was found beaten to death inside the trunk of a car Saturday was identified Tuesday as 44-year-old Hector B. Montoya-Medina. Two men riding in a semitrailer truck along Interstate 215 spotted a car teetering on the edge of Surplus Canal near 1000 South and 2200 West about 7 a.m. Saturday. Montoya-Medina was found in the car's trunk. His family came to Utah from Mexico and identified him, police said.
