He wrote message= s about showering with her and having children together.<br> &nb= sp;What Scott Fred Orme didn't know was that he wasn't exchanging e-mail wi= th the 14-year-old girl he met while working at a West Jordan middle school= . He was actually writing to the girl's mother, according to Special Assist= ant U.S. Attorney Paul Amann. <br> Police arrested Orme, 4= 2, when he returned to Utah from Wisconsin in November 2000 on a trip to sl= eep with the girl at his vacant home in Murray, according to prosecutors. B= ut the case slipped through the cracks, and Salt Lake County did not file c= harges, Amann said.<br> Four years later, a state employee= who also is a friend of the alleged victim rejuvenated the case with the h= elp of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.<br> &nbs= p;A federal grand jury indicted Orme on Nov. 10 on a charge of interstate t= ravel with the intent to engage in a sexual act with a minor.<br> &nbs= p; Orme, a Salt Lake City native, was arrested Thursday in Wisconsin,= where he is now a psychology professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stou= t. <br> Orme is expected to make his first federal court a= ppearance in Utah in mid-January on the charge, which carries a potential p= unishment of 30 years in prison.<br> Amann said Orme was "= chummy" with a group of students at Joel P. Jensen Middle School, where he = worked as a school psychologist for three years. He developed a relationshi= p with the 14-year-old that included "slow dancing, French kissing and a lo= t of hugging," he said. <br> Orme left the school in the s= ummer of 2000, moving with his wife and two children.<br> = The 14-year-old's mother intercepted e-mails and continued an online dialo= gue with him until he flew back on Nov. 16, 2000, Amann said.<br> &nbs= p; Prosecutors also are concerned Orme may have had similar relationsh= ips with other students he met at Joel P.
