Good morning all, Thank you to all who attended our zoom meeting yesterday. Here's a recap of what happened: Association activities: Mike Pyatt is on a shared governance committee with the school district and other associations to look into the impact of adding aunts and uncles to bereavement leave. A survey about this is in your district mail. Please fill it out if you haven't already. It closes Friday. Robert Allred is on a study group with the district and other associations (including SLEA) to look into the impact of paid parental leave (maternity/paternity) for district employees. Mike Rollins is on the Insurance Design Committee. Elia Ocampo is on the Title IX Committee. Erik Adams is on the Equity Framework Design Committee, this committee has been inactive since the pandemic started. Erik and Chay meet with Auxiliary Services, Facility Services and Custodial leadership monthly. November's meeting with Paul Schulte and Ricardo was cancelled because we didn't have any concerns to address. Erik meets with the Superintendent/HRS Director(s) monthly. Tuesday's meeting included discussing why paid admin leave takes so long, B&G introducing the association to new employees and if the sick leave bank could have changes. Erik has signed the tentative agreement for B&G with the district. We voted to adopt new bylaws and enter a management agreement with USEA. You will find the bylaws and related documents attached.
