[BBTC Ride_calendar] Sardinne Pass
Sardinne Pass is an open canyon so the wind can be in your face from more than one direction as you go around the hills. The wind can also be in opposite directions on each side of the climb so there is no rest for the weary. Go down into Cache Valley and stop at the Greens Corner convenience store. Come back up the other side on your way back to Brigham City. The round trip is 34 miles with 17 miles of climbing that is very different than Emigration Canyon. Try it for yourself and find out. The scenery is much better than Emigration and the road conditions are much better too.
Speaking of Sardine Canyon, does anyone know more about this terrible accident that happened there on Friday, or know the apparently experienced and mature cyclist, Bob Bennett? http://www.sltrib.com/search/ci_5940322 He was killed plus 2 others, a mom and infant, and the UHP quote in the story implicitly blames him for the accident ("steered into traffic while attempting to make a U turn"). There is going to be fallout if that turns out to be true... ~150 flamy online comments on ksl.com's story.
