[BBTC Ride_calendar] TT Circuit
I am looking for a Time Trial circuit to test myself. I want to find something about 17-20 miles, relatively flat and little or no lights. Does anyone have a good recommendation? Thank you in advance, Dan
Mostly flat routes in the valley without lights are few. But here are some: 1300w Starting at 126000s Head south and follow around to prison. At prison head down the Westside frontage road to the first exit, there is one hill on the frontage road, but fairly flat other than that. ~20mi I-80 frontage from 5600w West to marina, alt you can head south at salt air over the bridge towards the copper processing plant and rt201. You could start at the business park or take the bike path through the airport for a warm up. ~21mi about as flat is it gets. Antelope Island, course s/b marked from the national championships last month. Start at dirt parking lot just past marina on the East road. Out and back towards ranch. For rolling hills, head out to Bluffdale and ut111. ----------------------------------------------- Dan Fazzini Jr., Director SafeRoute Connection, Inc. The nationals course is marked with 10K, 20K and 34K turn arounds... I also like to TT the causeway, that's up to 13 miles out and back. There are mile marker counting down to the island, (the pay station is about mile 6.7.) If you add the north end of the island you get about 17 miles, 13 completely flat and 4 miles lightly rolling.
