[BBTC Ride_calendar] This weeks upcoming rides!
Hello BBTC! I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the weather of this past week at least once! The mild temperatures of this season is making for some great winter riding conditions while still giving us some great skiing/riding conditions as well. It's been great; you can ski in the morning and then come down to the valley and take a bike ride. Does it get any better!! By the way, I ski 2-4 days every week in the Park City area. On Wednesdays I volunteer at PCMR in exchange for my season's pass. I invite any and everyone to come ski/ride with me any time. I always have my phone with me plus I carry a two way radio set to channel 1 code 1 that I can also be reached on. Come, make some turns some time. On another note, Saturday the 14th is the winter moon. I am thinking of hosting a moonlight tour up in Albion basin, would anyone be interested? The best nights by weather and early moon would be Wednesday or Thursday, Friday may also be good but there is a front coming that may hit by then. Please let me know, if I get any interest I will post to the mailing list and calendar. Speaking of the calendar, here are this weeks scheduled rides, have a GREAT week and I will look for you on the road and on the slopes! Captain Rob Sunday Jan 8 10:30 AM President's Polar Bear Ride and Pot-Luck 30/B-C/3/c Come brave the elements at the annual President's Polar Bear Ride. Raleigh Fehr president@bbtc.net (801) 699-7016 Sunday Jan 8 01:00 PM Antelope Island - Garr Ranch 40/A-B-C/4-5/b Join me on Polar Bear Sunday for an assault on the Island. We'll attempt to ride the traditional route across the causeway, down to Garr Ranch and back, around the beaches/Visitors Center and then back across the causeway. If the ranch gate is closed or its too windy/cold, we'll ride what we can. Dress appropriately for the conditions. There is a fee for bicycles, so bring money or if you have a pass, bring that along. People with passes can get 8 bicycles on the island so most of the time there are enough people with passes that we don't even have to pay the fee. Meet at: the parking lot just before the gate. Take the Antelope Island/Syracuse exit from I-15. Turn west on Antelope Drive. Proceed to the parking area on the left just before the Antelope Island State Park entrance.
