[BBTC Ride_calendar] Ride Calendar
Board - I thought I would bring this up and cc the mailing list since I've talked to a few riders about this topic recently. Currently, our ride calendar is from Dec. 1st to Sept.30th. Since there is still good riding to be had in October and November, does it make sense to change our ride calendar from October 1st to September 30th? Even after the change from DST, there are times in November when the weekends are warm enough to ride. Plus, in 2007 we are going to get an extra month of DST. Greg McMurdie
Greg, It has already been planned to go that way. Last year the ride calendar was for March 1st through Sept 30th. The board decided to go year round but the board was not in place until the first of the year so this years mileage went from Dec 1st to Sept 30th. Next years will run from Oct 1st through Sept 30th. We will stay with the Sept 30th season end date so we can tally the miles and come up with awards for the year end banquet. Raleigh Greg McMurdie wrote:

Sounds great Raleigh. That makes a lot of sense. I know there is significant work to do in getting ready for the banquet, so I understand the stop date, but didn't know this change was already in the works. Maybe someone will pass Don and MM's new mark they will set this year...but does that mean we'll have to put an asterisk next to them going forward? :) Thanks, Greg
