[BBTC Ride_calendar] s.l. century RECOVERY RIDE!
Yep. Ride hard Saturday (it's only supposed to be a constant headwind of barely 20 mph for the return trip south). On Sunday, sleep in, have a smoke and a cuppa joe, then roll on out for the first, and perhaps last, annual: Almost Victoria Day Parley's Crossing to Brighton Ride (I shoulda' known last winter that there was a reason no one scheduled a long-ish ride on the BBTC calendar for this Sunday . . . too late now!)
From the pkg lot at the north end of the Wasatch Dr. bike route to the mouth of Little Cottonwood, back to the mouth of Big Cottonwood and up to Brighton. Then down and straight back. Barely half a century with only a tichy-smidgeon and a half climb thrown in. (Details re mileage and start location on the BBTC.net ride calendar.)
It could be hot, and I don't know if the cafe at Brighton has opened for the summer. So bring enough eats and drinks! A great warm-up for June 25's Almost St. Jean-Baptiste Day Ride up to Brighton AND Alta! (so what if it turns out that day was relatively free d/t the MS 150 . . . next year I'll check, okay?) john pace h/521-2515
