In addition, police officers in several of the municipalities around here are now issuing tickets to cyclists who do not obey stop signs.  We need to learn to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, not eeeaaze through slowly as we so often do.  I know that in the past we have lost the respect of many automobile drivers as they wait for a stop sign and then observe us charging right through the intersection.  They now have the new law to deal with to keep 3 feet distance and we should do our part as well.
