It’s hard to
believe it is already the last day of July! It’s been a great summer so
far and I want to thank everyone for taking the time to lead our club rides and
everyone else for coming out and riding them. It was said to me recently from
someone to the north that we don’t do any good rides up there and I have
to say, look at our calendar. While yes the bulk of our rides are in and around
the Salt Lake Valley
(where the bulk of our members are) we have also had at least two or more rides
to the north every week in July. And since this is a volunteer organization it’s
you the members that get to decide what rides are available and where they
start from. If there isn’t something on the schedule that you feel should
be, then step up and lead it. You will probably find that; hey, this isn’t
so bad I think I will lead more of these. And right now it’s time to
think about September and rides for the club. This is one of my favorite month’s
to ride in. The bad heat is gone, the days are beautiful and the colors are
coming out on the mountain sides. We need to close out the calendar on the 15th
of the month so we can get it published for the newsletter. So, get out your
planner or PDA out and start thinking about, what rides do I want to do in
September and then share them with all of us.
I look forward to
seeing what you create!
Safe journeys,
Cap’n Rob
