Hey BBTC!

I’m sorry I missed this posting last week and am late this week, often life gets in the way.

So, let’s take a look at is going on this week;

IT’S HOT OUT!!  My suggestion, either get out on the morning rides and night rides or head up to higher ground.

The ULCER is fast approaching and “SO You Want to Ride a Century” is up to 75 miles with hills this Saturday. And Sunday brings another Super Series ride, “Chalk Creek” at the cooler elevations of the Park City region. This year there are also 35 and 50 mile options. Or if you prefer to stay in the valley Robert’s Mini Me series is meeting a Sugarhouse Park.

And don’t forget to keep hydrated. A person needs to be drinking 10-12 8oz glasses of water each day plus an additional 8oz for every 25lbs you’re over weight and this is before doing any kind of exercise. The importance of hydration was proven by Floyd Landis last week when in stage 16 of the Tour de France, he bonked on the last climb and lost the yellow jersey. But then in stage 17 he stayed hydrated and kept his core cooler and blew the field away on one of the toughest stages in the Alps to regain most of his lost time and set him up to regain the yellow jersey in stage 19 and win the tour before Paris. Congratulations Floyd!! When you are out riding, take a drink of water every 5 minutes or less, you’ll be better for it. Safe journeys and remember to

Pedal Fast and Laugh Often
