Hmmm, 1 Mt Everest…does that mean McCool would say it’s ‘mostly
flat’?

Subject: [BBTC Ride_calendar] Hogle Zoo to Chalk Creek Saturday 12 May
07
There
will be a small contingent (maybe just one :-) starting in SLC for Tom’s Chalk
Creek ride this Saturday. I rode to Hennefer yesterday, and have done my
best to calculate a start time of 6:15am that will rendezvous with the Mtn
Green group at the junction east of East Canyon reservoir at 9:00am, or failing
that, Hennefer at 9:30. We’ll continue with the main group to Coalville
and the Wyoming border. I’ll be returning to Hogle, but you could start
in either place and return either place if you can arrange the transportation.
We
will meet at the parking lot just east of Hogle Zoo at 6:00am. We need to
finish signup and be on our way at 6:15am. This will enable a B pace to
enjoy small breaks at the summit of Little Mtn, Big Mtn, and the resort grocery
store (not sure when it opens in the morning). This ride will be more
climbing than the Mtn Green route, and still 130 miles, so we’ll climb at a
moderate pace.
130
miles / A-B pace / 1 Mt Everest / c Salt Lake City area
