I’ve been so busy trying to get ready for the banquet, I have forgotten to put out our weekly email for the past couple of weeks.

Of course, the highlight of the week is our annual banquet / membership meeting this Friday at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. This is where we have a great dinner, recognize all the great achievements of our members and vote for our new board of directors. It should prove to be a great night out. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

As our thoughts are turning towards cold weather and snow in the mountains, and as we start tuning and waxing our skis for the opening of the ski season next week, let’s not forget that there is still plenty of good weather here in the valley and a great time to still log some miles on the road! John’s Veteran’s day ride on Friday up north is a great ride, in fact he likes it so much you can do it again on Saturday with him. Tim is becoming a regular on the schedule with his inter-urban ride on Sunday or break up your day and join Shanna for a spin and some coffee, then head up to Jeanne’s burn off brunch ride. And in case I forget to get out next weeks email, come on out and join me for my Tucson flunkies ride in honor of all our members that will be in the warm weather of Arizona riding the Tour de Tucson. Rich’s bagels are pretty good and Bob is leading us on a nice east bench loop followed by coffee and bagels on Sunday.

Do you miss your Tuesday night ride up the canyon. Join us on Wednesday afternoons. Standard ride up the canyon. Come enjoy an afternoon outside the park. WEATHER ALERT: if rain, snow or valley temperatures are below 40 degrees then the ride will be canceled. Please call before 1:30 pm if questionable. Let's ride.
Meet at: Sugarhouse park, 1500 E. 2100 S. entrance at the traffic light.

Moderate pace self-supported out & back to Weber Memorial Park (just west of Casey Reservoir). We will warm up on Trapper's Loop. There are two convenience stores and a Subway along the way. Email me for a Map Quest cue sheet and please dress for conditions. This ride will be cancelled for rain, snow or temperatures below 42 deg.
Meet at: Sinclair Station in Mountain Green at 11:00 for 11:30 start.

For those of us not going to Tucson let's do a loop around the valley! We'll head west towards Copperton and then south through Riverton and Bluffdale, head east through draper, and back north along the bench. Dress REALLY warm. unless there's lightening or snow on the ground, Lets Ride!!
Meet at: The north parking lot of Cottonwood High School at about 5650 S on 1300 E.

Ride up past Cotton Bottom to Big Cottonwood, on to Nutree, Danish Road and Little Cottonwood. Return via Wasatch to Evergreen, Wander, and Holladay Blvd. Good coffee after.
Meet at: Rich\'s Bagels parking lot. Highland Drive and 6200 So. (20th east and 6200 so SE corner) Where Highland Drive meets Van Winkle.
