Hello bikers!
By now you've received your May newsletter and perhaps have seen that
the Mini-Me series is back this year and in full swing. If not, here is
the newsletter blurb:
It’s back! The oh so popular Mini-Me series will
return for 2006. Are Fig Newtons more your style than Gu? Stopping for
a Slurpee better then Carbo Fuel? Taking a photo better than oxygen
debt induced tunnel vision? These rides are for you! Mini-me rides are
a more relaxed "C" pace and have a more social slant than "A-B paced"
Super Series centuries. Most rides will be 50km to 100km, or about 30,
50, or 65 miles tops. Anyone who rides 6 of the 12 Mini-me series will
get the oh so special Mini-me T-shirt. Don’t miss out on the fun with
friends! For more info check the ride schedule, or call the ride
leader.
If these sound like your kind of rides, we need your help! We've had 3
rides so far, with a fourth one scheduled in June. But we are planning
to have 12 rides in all, so a quick bit of math lets you know we need
leaders for 8 more.
Here are some suggested (not required--just suggested) dates; we'd love
it if you could pick one of them up. You may notice that these dates
are the same as the super series. We are suggesting these to offer
another ride alternative
on super series days. Let me know (please!) if you can lead a Mini Me
ride on one of
these dates.
If none of these dates work for you, but you would still like to lead a
ride, that is fine. Just let me know what date you want.

Jul 30 (Sun) Leader needed

Notice that you are free to choose
the ride you want to do, which is great. You get to do the ride you
want, starting where you want, at the time you want, and even the date
you want. Wow! Does it get any better than that? The only thing we
ask is that you chose a ride in the 30-60 or maybe 65 mile range, and
schedule it at a C pace. So far, we've had a 40 mile Farmington ride,
a 60 mile segment of the
Randy Sutherland ALS ride, a 46 mile Chalk Creek ride, with a 50 mile
Heber Valley ride
coming up in June.
Here's hoping I hear from you,
Robert Turner
