Hello Jordan River Supporters,

A follow-up announcement of our next Jordan River Parkway Cleanup
project, Saturday July 15, 2006 from 8:00am until 12:noon. The cleanup
project will meet at Holm Park, located at 3900 S. 1100 W. in South Salt
Lake City.

Please be sure to invite your friends and community organization members
to help us clean up the Jordan River Parkway. Volunteers are needed to
help collect and remove debris of all kinds and to help beautify the
parkway trail.

All volunteers should bring:
~ long pants
~ sturdy shoes or boots (NO FLIP FLOPS!!!) ~ hat ~ sunglasses ~
sunscreen lotion ~ mosquito repellant ~ personal water

Directions:
Holm Park is a SL County park, located at 3900 S. 1100 W. in South Salt
Lake City.
Access to the park is from Carlisle Park Av (3800 S.) and 700 W.
Volunteers should park along the west end of Carlisle Park Av., and then
walk to the park pavilion.

>From I-15 (3300 South exit):
~ Take 3300 S. exit, head westbound.
~ Turn west onto 3300 S. and go to light at 700 W. (see Great Basin GMC
auto dealer).
~ Turn south onto 700 W. and continue past the UTA offices.
~ Turn west at Carlisle Park Av. (3800 S.) ~ Continue west along
Carlisle Park Av (see apartments on left side.
~ Park along north (right) side curb of Carlisle Park Av and walk to
park pavilion.

Directions from I-15 (4500 South exit):
~ Exit freeway at 4500 South and turn west.
~ Go to light at 500 West.
~ Turn north at 500 West and continue to 3900 S.
~ Turn west at 3900 South, go to light at 700 West.
~ Turn north at 700 West. Go one block to 3800 South.
~ Turn west at Carlisle Park Av (3800 South).
~ Continue west along Carlisle Park Av. (see apartments along south
side).
~ Park along north (right) side curb of Carlisle Park Av., and walk to
park pavilion.

At our last cleanup project, we had approximately 130 people volunteer.
We hope to increase this number at the July 15th event. We need
volunteers to help lead cleanup teams and to help with event
organization and logistics. if you'd like to help with leading a team or
event coordination, please reply to this email or call 485-2550.

In addition, we'd like to ask that volunteers pre-register to help us
plan for food and tee shirts. Volunteers can pre-register by calling SL
County Volunteer Program Services at 468-3806 or 468-2185.
