BBTC'rs This weekend, Saturday March 3rd, is the Swap meet at the fairgrounds. I know that all you bike junkies suffering from a bad case of cabin fever will be there. Patty McDonald and crew will be manning a table but we may need more bodies. If you attend this weekends event, if you can, please plan to spend some time at the BBTC table. [BBTC Ride_calendar] Ride Leaders needed

Okay it s official - the Superseries Schedule hit the streets last week in the current issue of your newsletter. As of now several SS events have already been spoken for, but there's more work to do. Marked routes on a free club ride are a great way to introduce BBTC to cyclists everywhere, so now we need a couple of ride Leaders to start the season off. Willard Bay rolls Saturday April 21 - from the Bountiful Area to Willard and back. A ride leader is needed. The Springville Nephi 100 on May 5th will have 30, 60 and 100 mile legs combined with the Mini-me events. Ride leader(s) are needed for at least 2 of the mileage legs. The snow is deep tonight, but the sun will be abundant by the time we roll off on April 21 - e-mail Eric Unck or me today to volunteer for one of these great events. Don W.

Update on this year's route. Start in Ivins city park and the basis will be the clockwise loop out through the town of Gunlock to Veyo and back to Ivins through Snow Canyon State Park (42-mile distance). For the 65-mile distance and the 100-mile distance we will take a turn (old Hwy 91) up, over and down Utah Hill to the Arizona border. Then we'll return to the "Y" and make a left back onto the loop. At Veyo the 100-milers will take a spur north on Hwy 18 to Pine Valley. Practice your hills and bring your granny gear. The long course provides about 9000 feet of vertical and hopefully some good warm weather. Tom Coffey

for those headed south this coming weekend for some well needed mileage - please be advised of the following: Road construction just south of Bluff street has traffic backed up for miles - so try the St George Blvd /chuck-A-Rama exit as your absolute last exit if coming from the north If it snows there are 3 passes between Beaver and Cedar City that are a pain - plan on additional time - speeds were as low as 15 mph yesterday morning. If it doesnt snow - the sheriff has a favorite spot on the huge downhill just south of Beaver please watch your speed. Don W.

Hey BBTC, I know the weather makes you want to stay in by the fire, and every ride that's on the calendar gets cancelled for weather or air quality, but it's got to break sometime. Punxsutawney Phil predicts an early spring this year. So let's look forward to March and get some rides on the calendar. Remember, the 15th is coming soon.
