[BBTC Ride_calendar] July's Ride Calendar

Hey BBTC! We are nearing the close for posting rides for the July calendar. I am planning on adding mountain bike rides for July but I would like to get a little feedback first. What type of rides would you like to see? Some easy single track and open road? Lower benches? How about exploring Park City's growing trail network? The 8000 ft trail will be rideable by the end of the week. The Wasatch crest will be ready by July. There are some great rides in the Uintas? June's issue of Cycling Utah lists a great ride around Nebo, want to give it a try? Let me know if mountain biking is even something you want to see on the calendar? Good morning BBTC! I'd like to thank everyone for all of the kind words concerning Little Red Riding Hood! It took the hard work of MANY to make the ride a success but I don't know if many of you are aware of the large contribution Robin Perkins made to the ride. Penny, Robin and I all organized the ride together. Robin was a key figure in the jersey design, obtaining of the UDOT permit (not an easy task), coordinating the support of the Sheriff and Highway patrol, marking the course, making signs, taking pictures and countless other tasks. He deserves a big thank you . THANK YOU ROBIN!! I'd also like to thank our many wonderful volunteers. They were so positive and worked very hard to make it a great day for all of the ladies. It was wonderful to have so many happy women on Saturday. We look forward to an even bigger and better Little Red Hiding Hood next year. Lynda Forbush

Excellent job Penny and Lynda!! LRRH sounds like it was a HUGE success. Everyone that came through the boat ramp rest stop had nothing but praise for Little Red's organizers and all the volunteers. And I also have to thank John Pace, CJ Williamson and Craig Fillerup for an outstanding performance at the boat ramp stop. You guys went well beyond the call of duty to see to all the riders needs as they rolled through our stop! And a special thank you as well to the husbands that came and assisted as they waited for their wives to roll on by, you were fantastic to help out as you did. Most importantly, congratulations to all the Women that came from all over to ride Little Red Riding Hood. It was inspiring to see so many riders from so many places come out and support the 18th annual event and breast cancer research by the Huntsman Cancer Institute. See you all again next year!
