Hello everyone! I am still looking for one more ride leader for this Sunday's rides. You have your choice of either the 60 mile or 22 mile rides. Craig J. has asked to lead the 35 mile ride, thanks Craig. The weather looks like its going to be a great for riding on Sunday. Should be around 60* for the start of the 60 miler (9am) warming up into the 70s by the afternoon, just in time for an afternoon BBQ. Everyone planning to ride Sunday - be advised that as of last Sunday afternoon Browns Canyon was still closed that leaves us with several options 1 - Ride on to Kamas then to Park City - net add of approx 12 miles 2 - Get on I-80 at Wanship - ride the shoulder for 10 miles to Silver Summit then frontage roads until we re-enter at Parleys summit. No additional miles 3 - Turn around at Wanship and re-trace - climbing Big Mtn for a second time The colors should be just about right - the hills should be almost fllat - a perfect day for a ride Don W.

Dear Club Member For the past 7 or 8 years I have been purchasing buffalo meat from a ranch outsise of Laramie, Wyoming and it is now time for me to restock my freezer. I am looking for someone to split an animal with me. The buffalo is range fed only and is completely without any hormone shots etc to speed it growth or weight. The meat will be aged. Based on past history this meat tastes as good as an beef on the marker and is much better for you. Approximate weight 300 lbs for a full animal which is 150 per half. The meat will be fully butchered, wraped and frozen. Cost will be $4.00 per Lb plus Wyoming Sales Tax and a proportion of my costs to drive to Weatland, Wyo to pick up the meat. Anyone interested please email me or call me at 801-571-9486. If a couple of you would want to split a half of an animal that may be possible. I plan to place my order towards the end of next week and expect to pick up the meat sometime in November. On 10/2 we will have 3 different rides leaving from 4711 Bonner Circle (1265 E) followed by a potluck barbeque and are hoping to see all of you come out and enjoy a day of pedaling and partying. The staggered start times are so we all finish about the same time to share in the after ride festivities. We have a 60 mile ride starting at 9am that will be paced for A-B-C riding and climbs up to the top of Sun Crest on South Mountain. The 35 mile ride starts at 10am and is a great intermediate ride paced for B-C riding The 22 mile ride begins at 11am and will be paced for B-C-D riding. We also have a 14 mile course with minimal elevation changes set up for anyone who wants to ride but may want to do any climbing. I am also still looking for a couple of ride leaders to lead 2 of these rides. I will lead any of the rides, so if your preference is the longer course no problem and these rides are a great way to get a start on your ride leader jersey qualification for next year.
