Raleigh, I just wanted to say thanks for your rapid programming changes to the mileage posting pages after I had asked if it was even possible. Looking up mileages post past and present is a breeze now and I have no excuses for not knowing my or anyone else's mileage at a click of the mouse. Kudos to you!! Rob Y.

[BBTC Ride_calendar] Lance Armstrong @ Nuskin convention

I have 2 passes to the Nuskin convention for Lance Armstrong speaking tonight at 7:30pm. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend and would like to offer the passes to someone. You will need to arrive early to register the passes, there is no charge for the passes or registration. The event is at the Delta Center tonight, October 7th, beginning at 7pm. Thank you for the rapid response to elevated issues surrounding the posting of club mileage and its yearly history. It's nice to be able to pull up a given year and look at who did what for the year and who was the high mileage leader. One question it has brought to my mind though (and I don't know how easy or hard it would be to create), is it possible to do this under each riders history also (just a though to help us lazy people who don't take the time to record it for ourselves). I know that you have added the year to the dates which is also a huge improvement and serves this thought as well. Anyways a BIG THANKS to everyone involved with improving the accessibility of the club mileage stats! Have a Great Day and Safe Journeys!!

Check out the weekend schedule! Half Bikes are always welcome on the ULTRA Tandem rides. So that includes all club members! The forecast is for 70 degrees on Saturday! Saturday Oct 8 10:00 AM ULTRA Tandem Ride/Tandem MIleage to Marina 22/O/5/c 22 or 44 mi. Start at parking lot on NE corner of 5600W and Amelia Earhart Dr. Ride frontage road out to the marina and back. To double your mileage pass the lot on your way back to continue through the International Center, the Airport path, up 2200W and around to the Maverick on Redwood and Center Street NSL. The first half is very nice for triples, quads, trikes, etc. If anyone would like to try tandeming I have more than one. Contact me, first come basis. Board members, I believe you have missed my message. I do not feel slighted and my goal this year was not to be high mileage winner. The message was and still is: I have been out of town, and yes Raleigh I do speak with Don, ( I do not appreciate your "dig"). I keep track of personal mileage as well as friends and friendly competition of others. Therefore, returning home late and ability to view the website of several mileages was not available. Going through process and clicking names defeats the purpose. If I sound frustrated, I am. Very few officers ride on a consistent basis and communication overall from the board is none. No announcements at rides, no input except through email or when decisions have been made and acted upon. It feels like the board is a separate club. Club members are not kept up at all about what is going on. Rides are scheduled on top of each other at the same time similiar mileage and similiar routes. There have been several rides supposedly led by two ride leaders where no route sheet was available, no marks available, no announcement and the ride leader led from the front and when the ride was over, left with many riders still out of the ride. In fact I know these two people will receive a jersey. Wow, if that is all I have to do than I will duplicate next year. Are any of you even aware of these types of "serious" legal incidents? Yes, I am frustrated. Where is the Board?? What is going on??How are members brought into your loop? Mary Margaret

[BBTC Ride_calendar] County Bikeways Map Volunteer Website

Cyclists, The evaluation phase of the County Bikeways Map project is now set up at the SLCBAC website: http://www.slcbac.org/projects/map/ Here, volunteers can select routes to evaluate for safety and effectiveness, download evaluation surveys, and fill out evaluations online. We need as many evaluations completed before Oct 15th, when we will present a draft of the map to the cycling community and general public at the Josie Johnson Memorial Ride (see website for details).
