Re: [Police] Re: [stingus] Fiction Plane is...
And those who know me and what I do need not ask my opinion...... :) But I agree wholeheartedly with Fred and Andrea on this - the three of us have seen them grow up from being Santa's Boyfriend at seedy bars in Hoboken to seeing them as what you hear (or will hear, once the single hits radio) now as Fiction Plane. We have seen the amount of tireless work that *as a band* (forget about Joe being someone's son right now) they endured to get where they are today. It's only proper that we truly support them by going to Best Buy, Virgin, Tower Records, FYE, etc. and spending the money that will have them continue to make great music. Being in close contact with people at MCA here in the city, I can tell you that are working their asses off working this album, to try to get mainstream radio to pick up the single. So help everyone out on this end (including me - keep me employed!) and avoid the P2P programs that are out there, resist the temptation to get it free, and save a night out from drinking at the bars to invest in something that will last longer! :) That's all... back to hiding out... steve

I agree- at $8 the cd is certainly affordable, and if your cd store does not have it, ask them to order it!!!! Call your radio stations and ask them to play it!!! marilyn on 4/22/03 2:41 PM, Steve Agovino at fletch622@hotmail.com wrote:

Around here the CD is 12.99 (I got my at Sam Goody in the mall). I bought the only copy that they had! Anyway, they are a great band and hopefully they will get some airplay. Although I have to admit that I probably would not have even realized they existed without having been introduced to their music as a result of Joe being in the band and the fact that I am a big fan of his dad. As a side note, when I bought the CD the girl working at the counter looked at it and said "never heard of them" and the other person working said to her that Sting's son was in the band to which she replied "I thought Sting was gay!" I replied "hardly" and that he had 6 kids and was married. That provided some amusement in an otherwise boring day. Hoping that Fiction Plane makes it up this way at some point! Hi there everybody.
I know many gay (should I say bisex)married with kids, but I don't think Sting is, or at least he wouldn't hide it. I have an interview where he was asked about having sex with a man, and he said 'why not?'.... Ciao ciao Giovanni
