Re: [Police] The Police announce reunion tour (NME)
Yes, poor Patrick Stump had my hair flying in his face the whole time. I knew they were behind me, and normally I would have been a little self conscious about that, but the reason we were all there was so monumental, it just didn't matter who was near me. Dang, I could have been next to Elvis and it wouldn't have mattered. They were standing near us after the show and I stepped waaaaaayyyyyyy outside of my box. Got up the nerve to ask for a photo w/them "for my son". Ha. I think I like them better than him, but whatever.... They were very sweet and they let me know that I was standing (OK, dancing, jumping, hyperventilating) right in front of them (as if I didn't know). I got a kick out of hearing them check their device (blackberry, pearl?) for their chart positions in Europe while we were waiting for 11 to arrive! Don't know if Taylor Hawkins' question was aired during the press conference since I haven't seen it yet, but hope it made the cut! He was adorable and so very happy to be there (too) More later, gotta pick up kids! michelle In a message dated 2/13/07 10:23:51 AM, forfoxie@yahoo.com writes:
After the rapturous applause from the audience (which included Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy and Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters) died down, drummer Stewart Copeland joked, "We're supposed to be such a slick band, but we don't even have a set list. Set lists are for wimps!"
