Got tickets for the Hammerstein show. Got a wristband for the Muchmoremusic event from Sting.com. Got crap tickets for two upcoming Toronto shows. Got 2nd row for Ottawa. Got 6th row for Montreal. Got front row for Darien Lake in the summer. Got 2nd row for Toronto in the summer. And, if I wanted to improve upon my "crap" tickets for Toronto, I could have still purchased them with the rest of the general public, and sold my "crap" seats for some rediculous profit to a scalper (which I would never do), or provided them to a friend at face value. So, in summary, while there seem to have been some problems, as far as getting tickets is concerned, the fan club seems the way to go from my perspective. My only wish is that we would recieve more advanced notice of the on-sale dates and times. I happened to hear a concert announcement for Sting on the radio yesterday, so I went on line to Sting.com, and found that tickets for Toronto and Darien Lake were going on sale in a matter of hours...if I had not been listening to the radio, I would have missed the advanced sale. I was a member of Outlandos for many years, appreciated the front row seats for the UK shows when I used to live there, and I am now pleased that I can get excellent seats for North American shows now too.
