There is another nice thing about the
CD:
When I listen to it in my car, I can actually read
the title of each song in the display - so I have proof I really bought a Sting
CD...
But I must agree: first listen to it
was disappointing to me, now it grows. But If it was not Sting, I would not
give it those many chances. The first album by
Sting that has no catchy songs, but only some catchy choruses (like in
Stolen Car) or beginnings (like in Dead Man's Rope). I remember BND, where I did
not even get further than A 1000 years during first listening, because I had to
listen to this first track again and again. Then came Desert Rose, and same
thing happened....
Keep in mind that non-english listeners might take
a while to discover the lyrics - it's is not the first thing we put our ear on.
During first listening, the voice is often just one of the
(main) instruments. As with Eros Ramazotti (italian).
I will NEVER understand why the remix, shape
and moon are on the STUDIO ALBUM. Let's consider the album
having simply 11 tracks incl. Like a beautiful smile. For those who are into the issue making the album appear as
ONE: where would you put Like a Beautiful Smile?
Oh, there is another nice thing:
this studio album gives roooooooooom for live interpretations on tour!!
Bring it up, like Brian said!
