Good GOD, those prices are obnoxious. Glad to see the corporate sponsorship is easing the financial burden. $160??!? C'mon, now. I've been a Sting devotee for years but that's just... ...ugh. Sorry to complain, but it's hard not to in cases like these. Trini replied to my earlier post about Sting "selling out" again with: "Sting is a capitalist and good for him, he deserves all the money he gets!" But does that mean that we as fans need to get screwed in the process? I had great seats for a Soul Cages tour arena show that I paid around $25 for. TST tour was even better and not much more expensive. These were some of the best performances I'd ever seen, and they certainly didn't have a huge amount of corporate sponsorship. How did things change THAT dramatically since then? One hundred and sixty dollars for ONE ticket. PLUS "convenience charges". I never thought I'd say this - especially after splurging for three expensive shows on the last tour, but I'm going to give this tour a miss. I'm heartbroken about it, but there are much better things I could do with the money. I've given Sting more than enough over the years. This is beyond ridiculous and I don't want to be taken advantage of any further. I love the music, why should I have to pay through the nose in order to enjoy it? While its true you can get the next level up (mezzainine) for $90 per ticket but these seem pricey. This was for the 3 nites at beacon and may be par for the course but certainly tempered my enthusiasm for getting tickets - though I'll still go of course. What are you guys seeing as I didnt check a lot of the gigs. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
