I know what you are talking about as I also hear ELTSDIM in the song. As a musician, I cannot count on one hand the number of times that I have reused a riff from one song to another a song.

I think Don't quit Your Day Job is my favorite demo yet. The song has a pop beat and it is just a cool song.

I have some songs from Sting was with Last Exit, however, the are of poor quality and I do not know if you would be interested in hearing them. Please let me know and I'd also like to hear what you guys think of the demos and the cover song.
