POLICE TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FAME STUNG TO PLAY OFFICIAL PRE-PARTY - FRIDAY, MARCH 7TH AT BACKSTAGE CAFE Well, two dreams have come true for us this week...the Police are being inducted into the hall of fame, and we get to play the official pre-party! Yep, STUNG is packing into the van and heading to the glitzy lights of Beverly Hills, where Ian Copeland (brother of Stewart and legendary music agent-guru) is hosting a send off party for the band at his restaurant before they head to New York for the Hall of Fame Ceremony. It's a dream gig for a tribute band to play at party that is the ultimate tribute to band, at the ultimate venue! We are stoked, and are so thankful to Jools Holland, Ian Copeland and the Backstage for having us on this momentous occasion! We are rock out like we never have before, playing before the ultimate audience of Police fanatics in the music industry capitol. (Wish us luck..!) Rumor has it that STEWART COPELAND and ANDY SUMMERS have been rehearsing with Stewart's house in Los Angeles, and are meeting up with STING for what will be their first Police rehearsal in over 15 years. They will then be then heading off to New York City and proceed to blow the socks off the big wig hall of fame pomps and prisses at the ceremony on Monday night, (though it isn't broadcast until Sunday, March 16th on VH1), all the while being recognized for their ground breaking contributions to rock history. We're looking forward to a spectacular last west coast hurrah for our heroes before being immortalized in the halls of Cleveland! Needless to say, we couldn't be happier to be involved in the event.
