Hi Maggie, and all! It's been a while since I've posted, but I was wondering why Sting reading from a paper until the moment he finished, and then this thought: yeah, I'd also make it obvious someone else wrote the tripe that he was asked to say. What better way than reading it from the script instead of the obvious/unobvious naturalistic-looking (ha!) teleprompter? I mean, he had to say those nominees were good! Anyway, in reference to the LA DJ's Mark & Brian, the engineer (Frank) played "Walking on the Moon" for bumper music, and as you heard, Brian went nutso complimenting Stewart on how he played and invented sounds that no one had ever heard before. Later on in the broadcast, the newscaster Kelly played "So Lonely" for her song of the day. It was a good start to my morning! A Post-Script: due to my husband's impending back surgery, I will with great regret (note the wailing sobs in the background) miss the Las Vegas show. Not only was I looking forward to a great show in a great seat, but I sooooo wanted to see all my "Sting Friends" (as my hubby somewhat affectionately refers to you all). Know that I will miss you Jer & Deb & Maggie & Bill & Fred, and all those I was looking forward to meeting. I don't know about the rest of you who have had to sacrifice in the past, but I'm really getting sick of "life getting in the way." I was wanting to hear live the new renditions of the old tunes, they now reminding me of my friend I lost on the Pentagon Plane, but the DVD will have to do. Have a grand time, and take a magic carpet ride for me! Peace, Love, & Sting-- Jen "on and on the rain will say how fragile we are"
