I cannot help but reply to this.
As a member of this list for about 9 years (I lurked for quite a while) I must say that my faith in The Police as such was nearly dead. Now I hear about a new box set, there's the movie and book, and Police Around the World may come out on DVD next year!
As someone who never had the chance to see The Police (they broke up when I was 8 years old) this is amazing news. Thanks, Giovanni and Volker!
Heh, maybe Ross will have another picture to milk as Christmas cards for the next ten years! :-D
I'm holding my breath. No, really, I actually am, so please get more news along when you hear it!

Ciao everybody from Giovanni....don't believe everything you read.....this
time I can tell THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT IT, that's it, but don't get a single
report (the only one that came out is the DAILY MIRROR one, all of the
others are taken from that one) as complete...it doesn't say THEY WILL TOUR,
or THEY HAVE SCHEDULED CONCERTS, it just says
"A spokeswoman for A&M confirmed discussions had taken place but denied
there were any firm dates for concerts.
'Needless to say, everyone is hopeful the band will support our plans and
while early discussions have taken place, nothing has been decided."
Now, every newspaper in this world is talking about it, in Italy TV News
made special reports with Police archive footage (how cool is to see again
The Police on the TV News???), but you also have to know that medias love to
add 'more details' to their personal report...all we have to do is to wait
if they will finalise the whole project....I wouldn't be surprised if they
will end up with nothing in their hands, but I will be in heaven if they
will!
...and my sources say they may find a suitable agreement for all the parts
involved.
