I agree with several of your points, and your response was well-written and filled with good humor, but I would respectfully ask Sting how much money is enough?
 
To ask whether we would accept Mr. Gates' offer is an unfair question, as it ignores the vast fortune Sting has amassed over the last 25 years. A half-million dollars is a far greater sum to we who subscribe to this list than it is to him.
 
He's certainly welcome to the fortune he's earned, but is there any other reason why Sting would play such an event other than pure greed?

Why, Sting, did you become so completely focused on money after you became wealthy? And did that obsession play a role in robbing your music of the joy it once had?
