I heard Sting give an explanation for this, I believe it was in one of the webchats around BND: Apparently, the Japanese record industry is having a hard time making money because of the extent of illegal import from Europe and other markets. So, in order to make the Japanese versions more attractive to customers, they often add one or two bonus tracks which are not on the illegally imported albums. I guess it makes some sense, although I can't see quite how an imported album could be more attractive (cheaper, I mean) than a 'domestic' album. Most other places it's the other way round. I don't think he was referring to illegal pressings... Mikkel -- "And my sanity scans the horizon" Sting - The Wild Wild Sea http://www.mzh.dk ---- Original Message ---- From: R. M. Whatever it means, I am tired of the all the time I have spent over the years looking for what ends up being these great tracks. I don't understand the marketing strategies of things like two extra tracks on the Japanese version of All This Time. Sure makes life hard on modest collectors....

only the first cd-single would feature this track, no idea about non-Japan issues.... Karel ----- Original Message ----- From: "DuckRogers" <duckrogers@shaw.ca> To: "Sting" <police@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, May 26, 2003 7:08 AM Subject: [Police] Japanese version?
Hi Guys, Karel's site mentions in part "as extra track there will be a 2003-version of Moon over Bourbon Street on the Japanese version which is announced to be already released on July 30th."
Does this mean they get the full album many weeks before the rest of the world?
