Hey all. I need some advice from those that have the experience. I just got a sony minidisc player. It has both the plug-in power mic input and the line input. My question is to those that have recorded concerts. I understand the basic difference between the cardoid mics and the binaurals. I'm not willing, however to stand in one place and not clap and sing at all at a concert just to get a great recording. If I took either of the two types of mics and placed them on the ground at a typical indoor venue, any idea what the sound quality would be? If anyone has first hand knowledge of particular equipment used at certain shows, it would be greatly appreciated. I promise that all private replies will be held in the strictest confidence for anyone that doesn't want to publicly announce they record shows. Also, the reason this is OT is because I don't want to record any Sting stuff, only local concerts that are OK.
