I already mailed Donald but I thought I'd share my
European point of view with you all: I think his might be only an impression,
because it seems that most of the listers are from the States (or at least they
mail the list more often), so it's statistically more likely to find different
kinds of people among them.
Anyway, all of my American mail pals are as polite
and helpful as can be, so don't be too harsh on the people from your
country!

you. I don't think it's a good idea to spread negative stereotypes
about the people of any
nation, even if it's the one in which you
live.
By the way, I've been living in New York City for the past 22
years, and I frequently receive comments on the kindness and consideration
of our citizens from the international community where I make my
living.
Just my 5 cents (hey, this is an expensive town).
