I have to agree David, in fact I felt the same way.  I never really got a good enough idea of how long and how much Andy toiled in the music business before he really made it with the Police until his book.  And I for one believe that he is a much more talented guitarist than many people give him credit for.  I can imagine how he felt at the show at Shea stadium, knowing he was going to go onstage for the last time with probably the best rock trio ever created, especially since he knew what kind of chemistry they all had together, in spite of the brawls....  And I too have watched Police Around the World numerous times and his decription of it all really shed a new light on many of the things that you see in the video.  And with Stew's version of his autobiography, Everyone Stares, it totally leaves me wanting more.  It's all I can do now to get any and every bootleg or video that is the Police in an attempt to relive it all....  If only I had been a few years older an experienced it the first time around, instead of joining the craze when Ghost in the Machine came out....

Well, that's my two cents, for what it's worth.  Don't post on this board much, but thought that was a great thread to add too....  Cheers David..... and to the rest of ya.

I agree this list is really getting not active and I am wondering if there is a different police/sting list I should be
looking for. I love to hear the latest from fellow fans. I guess the website etc gives a lot if info but this is different.

Anyway, I wondered what others thought of Andy's book. I finished it recently and was sad when I was done ..loved it and wanted more. It was great reading his perspective on things and the tours , experiences, etc. I have seen police around the world so many times that reading his take on some of those moments was really cool.

Others agree?
cheers
David
